What is a Pomsky?

Pomsky is a Designer Breed of dog that was once derived from a purebred  Pomeranian and purebred Siberian Husky.  The more you learn about Pomskies the easier it is to pick the right one for each individual desire.  An F3 (found here), is a 3rd generation "Pure" Pomsky, all the parents and grand parents plus, have been recognized as Pomskies, not thought to be Husky nor Pomeranian.

*There are many variations of Pomskies, giving owners the chance to pick the right match for them.  From Long hair to short hair, fox look, wolf look, bear cub look, and even the husky puppy look.  So many versions, some suggest there are up to 30 variations in coat and color combo.  Making an already rare look for a dog to become that much more original.

Why pick a Pomsky?

Pomskies can be hard to acquire, so why pick one?  There is often more about a Pomsky than one initially may think.  They are sized to fit most any home and still hardy for even northern weather.  Because they come in so many styles and abundant of looks, each being rare themselves, they have become a sensation amongst dog enthusiasts.

Fine Tune Your Style to Match such Unique Dogs as a Pomsky!

*The Siberian Husky Markings with shortened stature of a Pomeranian is the most common recognized look as a Pomsky, but surely not the only.

*The Pomsky breed has a large assortment of sizes approx. 4-35lbs, Toy (under 8lbs), Mini (8-18lbs) found here! And the Standard (19-35lb). Please note: toy size (like most toy breeds) are known to have higher health risks.

Coat types their long lasting soft silky layers can appear as; standard short-haired double coat that is natural to the standard Siberian Husky, or some Pomskies may have long hair with a Triple layer of extreme fluff (known as wooly coats) this comes from their ancestor the Pomeranian.

* As many as 10 Types of coat colors can be distinguished in the Pomsky breed as part of the ability to create such designer look.  As recognized on https://a-z-animals.com/blog/pomsky-colors-see-the-rarest-to-most-common/  In order, from Most rare to more common; Lavender, Blue, Red, Black, Sable, Silver, Chocolate, White, Black & White, noting: merle, also may appear but is not natural to neither the Husky nor Pomeranian family.

*Lavender, Red and Silver are all from the "diluted gene" This gene causes the Brown to look red, Black to look Silver, and a combo of such.  A dog with these markings are exceptionally unique, as to require this gene doubles up, adding to the variation of possible Pomsky looks.

*Pomskies are frequently known for their look as "forever husky puppies"! (Admittedly  my original attraction to this beautiful breed also).  But, to find there are so many variations to their look, it becomes an amazing surprise, as to what design could  possibly come next with such incredible markings and colors.

*Developing Coat- many Pomskies can experience a coat change as they grow, achieving their final adult look.  Their coat may darken or lighten across the top depending on the dog, offering layers of a fuller coverage of lowlights or highlighted blended colors, more than just the single layer coat color.

Young pups often may appear to have a streak going down their spine and darker lines in other places, this is usually the beginning of their adult top coat showing.  This leads to a slightly or much darker overlay, with shades of undercoat being lighter or even a completely different color.

*Their gorgeous Almond shaped eyes can draw in the most unsuspecting dog lover, look out they can pierce right into your heart!

*Extremely Intellectual dogs that are quick to please and sized to fit!

As you may have discovered, there are lots of styles to choose from that will virtually fit most dog lover's desires, while having a Great appreciation for their designer look and loving personalities to swoon over and sploot with.

What makes us different?

* If you are shopping for a Pomsky, you may have come across breeders with contracts that overreach your decisions as the future owner and often charge hundreds more to say "No" to the contract and to get breeding rights.  This impersonal tactic appears to be a sleight of hand for more money once you have your heart set to desire such a puppy. * Our price is exceptionally low and upfront cost.

* We do not post our pets on other dog websites, as we found them to require us to make the medical decisions instead of the future owner.  These decisions, we believe, are long lasting future medical decisions, that may take away from the new pet owner choices.

Yes, they are our babies, but we recognize they belong somewhere else, so we allow their new home to talk with their own veterinarian and decide what is best for their pup.

Any of our puppies that appear to require vet attention will receive it as needed.

We want for their owners to have the best puppy available!
